We had the absolute honor and pleasure of working with Sam Minkoff and the SE Productions team to design, engineer, and deliver the coveted championship rings to our hometown heroes, the Seattle Seahawks. In a short four month window we took on the challenge of designing and executing a ring delivery concept that had never been done before.
The event ran in three phases:
An entry hallway leading into a 360 degree bar and lounge.
An elegant dining hall where we dropped dinner, beats, and a few rings.
And a final show room stage where Metro Boomin kept us partying until the end of the night.
For those who know Joe Cole personally, you know he can’t resist a challenge, especially one that’s never been done or attempted before. When Sam explained that he wanted to figure out how to lower the rings onto the dinner table, we said “challenge accepted.” Then we found out it isn’t just the players and coaches who get rings. There are 224 of them. The rig required six 53 foot trailers, 160 rigging points, 224 wireless GLP Nexus Circle fixtures, and 5 days later, we can officially say challenge completed.
Along the way we also broke another record. Special shout out to GLP German Light Products and their new Nexus series. If you haven’t checked it out yet, it’s a seriously cool product. This event now holds the record for the most Nexus fixtures ever run simultaneously, 224 of them.
