Robe Spikie: Compact RGBW LED WashBeam with Zoom, Prism, and Flower Effect
Small, fast, and surprisingly versatile for something that weighs 16 lbs. The Spikie runs a single 60W RGBW source through a 110mm lens and motorized zoom that covers 4 to 28 degrees, meaning it can be a tight punchy beam or a soft wide wash depending on what the cue calls for, and it can switch between the two faster than most fixtures in its class. Continuous 540-degree pan and 360-degree tilt with no hard stops means choreographed movement looks the way it’s supposed to look.
The Flower Effect (Robe‘s patented MCFE) creates sharp multi-colored spikes of light rotating in both directions at variable speed. The 3-facet circular prism adds beam breakup for aerial looks. Between the zoom, the prism, and the Flower Effect, this is a lot of visual vocabulary from one compact fixture.
