Robe Spiider: Multi-Source RGBW LED WashBeam with Pixel Control and Flower Effect
Nineteen LED sources in one fixture, and every one of them independently controllable. The Spiider runs 18 x 40W RGBW multichip LEDs for the wash output and one 60W RGBW LED at the center, all through a high-efficiency 12.5:1 zoom optical system that covers 4 to 50 degrees. The result is a fixture that works as a tight aerial beam, a wide soft wash, a pixel-mapped canvas, or all three in the same show depending on what the cue calls for.
Robe‘s lens coating technology keeps the optics clear and scratch-resistant over the long haul, and the L3 Low Light Linearity system produces 18-bit smooth fades to black that hold up under camera. At 11,000 lumens and 50,100 lux at 5 meters, it also just puts out a lot of light.
19 Pixels, One Flower Effect
Individual control of each RGBW pixel across all 19 sources means real pixel mapping work, not just zone-based chases. The Robe patented MCFE Multi-Colored Flower Effects engine generates sharp multi-colored spikes of light from the central 60W LED, rotating in both directions at variable speed. Pre-programmed pixel effects with color, dimming, and strobe animations are built in for fast programming when time is short.
Color Science
RGBW or CMY mixing, variable CTO from 2,700K to 8,000K, Virtual Color Wheel with 66 preset LEE swatches for fast gel matching. Tungsten lamp emulation at 2,700K, 1,000W, 1,200W, and 2,500W with red shift and thermal delay for convincing warm incandescent looks. Color rainbow effects with variable speed.
