Robe MegaPointe: Discharge Hybrid Moving Head for Beam, Spot, Wash, and FX
The Robe Pointe was already a fixture that did everything. The MegaPointe does all of it more. A 470W Osram Sirius HRI lamp produces a 1.8-degree beam with 200,000 lux at 5 meters in beam mode, and the 14:1 zoom optical system stretches that out to a 42-degree spot mode wash when the plot calls for coverage instead of punch. The CMY color system with CRI selection between 80 and 90 gives your LD genuine color quality across the full range, not just saturated primaries.
If you need the original Pointe for tighter rigs or budget-conscious builds, R90 carries the Robe Pointe as well. The MegaPointe is the step up in output and effects capability.
The Effects Engine
Six prisms on two wheels is the headline. The Innovative Effect Engine combines them to produce 12 different beam and flower effects, rotating in both directions at variable speed. The static gobo wheel adds an aluminum animation wheel with its own rotation axis for gobo/animation combinations. Beam shaper emulates framing shutters and creates rectangular beam shapes, rotatable and indexable. Remote hot-spot control is adjustable from 5:1 to 2.5:1 in spot mode and 7:1 to 2.7:1 in beam mode. Motorized zoom and focus, variable frost in 1-degree light and 5-degree medium.
Gobos and Color
Nine rotating, indexable, replaceable gobos plus open. 13 dichroic colors plus white. CMY with CRI selection at 80 or 90. Color wheel positioning at 8 or 16-bit resolution.
Control
USITT DMX-512, RDM, Art-Net, MA Net, MA Net2, sACN. Optional CRMX wireless from Lumen Radio. Two DMX protocol modes, 39 or 32 control channels. Full 16-bit pan/tilt resolution. Neutrik powerCON True1 power in/out, locking 3-pin and 5-pin XLR data in/out, RJ45 Ethernet port.
