Orbisfly Kinetic Orb and Winch: A Glowing Sphere That Goes Up and Down on Command
The Orbisfly Kinetic Orb and Winch is exactly what it looks like. A 350mm RGB LED sphere with 360-degree viewing angle, suspended from a DMX-controlled winch that lifts up to 6 meters at 0.5 meters per second. Program it to rise on the downbeat, hover at trim height, and drop back to the floor on the outro. It does the thing that moving lights can’t, which is actually move through three-dimensional space on cue.
Winch Specs Worth Knowing
The winch handles a maximum cable load of 2 lbs, lifts to 6 meters, and runs on 120W at 100 to 240VAC. Five or nine DMX channels via 5-pin or 3-pin XLR, PowerCon in and out for power, and an LCD1602 screen display for local configuration. At 8.5 kg the winch unit needs a solid hang point rated for the load.
The Orb
Forty-two RGB TRI SMD LEDs across the 350mm sphere with 360-degree viewing angle. It weighs 1.5 kg and operates from -10 to 45 degrees Celsius. Simple, effective, and impossible to ignore when it’s in the air.
