Obsidian Netron RDM6 IP: IP66-Rated 6-Port DMX and RDM Splitter for Outdoor and Touring Use
The Obsidian Netron RDM6 IP is a six-port DMX and RDM splitter built for live productions, film and television sets, temporary outdoor installations, and any environment where long-term protection from humidity, dust, and debris is required. Its IP66-rated powder-coated aluminium chassis provides a level of environmental protection rarely found in DMX distribution equipment, making it the practical choice when a standard rackmount splitter is not suitable for the deployment location.
Six Opto-Isolated DMX and RDM Outputs
All six 5-pin XLR outputs are optically isolated and fully RDM compliant, supporting bidirectional RDM communication between the console and connected fixtures. A dedicated RDM enable/disable button and DMX termination button on the side panel give operators direct control over signal behavior without requiring software access. LED port feedback provides clear status indication across all outputs.
IP66-Rated Connectivity Throughout
All connections maintain the IP66 rating, including the side-panel 5-pin IP66 DMX input, 5-pin IP66 DMX thru, and bottom-panel locking IP66 True1 power in/out. This keeps the entire signal and power chain sealed against water and dust ingress in outdoor and exposed environments. Truss mounting via optional clamp makes it practical to position the unit close to fixtures, reducing DMX cable runs from the splitter to individual outputs.
At 2kg and 5W power consumption on 100-240V auto-ranging input, the RDM6 IP is efficient and portable enough for both touring rigs and permanent outdoor installations.
