Obsidian Netron EN4: Compact Ethernet to DMX Gateway for Live Production and Installation
The Obsidian Netron EN4 is a four-port Ethernet to DMX gateway built for lighting designers and system integrators who need reliable RDM-compatible DMX output in a compact, half-rack form factor. Supporting Art-Net, sACN, and RDM across all four optically isolated bidirectional XLR-5 ports, it suits touring productions, temporary event setups, and permanent installations where a smaller port count and minimal footprint are priorities.
Four Optically Isolated Bidirectional DMX Ports
All four front panel XLR-5 ports are bidirectional, configurable as DMX input or output to suit the demands of the specific system. Two locking RJ45 Ethernet ports on the rear panel handle network connectivity, and locking powerCON true1 input and output provide secure power connections for touring and installation environments alike.
99 Internal Cues with Advanced Routing and Merging
Like its larger sibling the EN12, the EN4 includes 99 internal cues with fade and delay time control for standalone playback without a console. Customizable routing and merging options, factory and user presets for fast plug-and-play setup, and remote configuration via a built-in internal webpage give operators full system control without dedicated software. The 1.8-inch OLED display with rotary knob provides clear on-device status and configuration access.
Line Voltage or PoE Powered in a Half-Rack Housing
The EN4 accepts 100-240V line voltage or PoE 802.3af power at just 5W consumption, making it flexible to deploy in locations where mains power at the node position is not available. At 1kg in a powder-coated aluminium half-rack enclosure, it is lightweight enough for portable rigs while robust enough for permanent installation.
