Obsidian Netron EN12: High-Density Ethernet to DMX Gateway for Live Production and Installation
The Obsidian Netron EN12 is a professional 12-port Ethernet to DMX gateway built for lighting designers and system integrators who need a high port count, reliable RDM support, and flexible routing in a compact 1RU rackmount package. Supporting Art-Net, sACN, and RDM across all 12 optically isolated XLR-5 ports, it is equally suited to large touring productions and permanent installed systems requiring extensive physical DMX output.
12 Optically Isolated DMX Ports with Full Bidirectional Support
All 12 front panel XLR-5 ports are optically isolated and bidirectional, functioning as either DMX input or output depending on the routing configuration. This gives system designers maximum flexibility when building complex DMX networks with multiple sources, mergers, and distributed outputs. Two locking RJ45 Ethernet ports on the rear panel handle network connectivity, and 10 contact closure terminals enable external recall of cues, presets, routings, and mergers without requiring a console or software interface.
Advanced Routing, Merging, and 99 Internal Cues
The EN12 includes customizable routing and merging options alongside 99 internal cues with fade and delay time control, making it a capable standalone playback device for installations where a full console is not present. Factory and user presets support fast plug-and-play setup across repeating venues and touring configurations. Remote configuration via the built-in internal webpage eliminates the need for dedicated software, and the 1.8-inch OLED display with rotary knob provides clear on-device status and control.
Line Voltage or PoE Powered
The EN12 accepts 100-240V line voltage or PoE 802.3af power, giving installers flexibility in how and where the unit is deployed. At 9W power consumption and 4 lbs. in a powder-coated aluminium rackmount housing, it is a practical and durable choice for both touring racks and permanent equipment rooms.
