The Luminex GigaCore 16t is a 1 Gigabit managed Ethernet switch engineered specifically for professional touring applications in lighting, audio, and video. Built to handle frequent tear-down and build-up cycles, it provides the rugged, reliable network backbone that converged AV production networks demand when multiple protocols and applications need to coexist on the same infrastructure.
16-Port 1Gbps Connectivity for Converged AV Networks
The GigaCore 16t provides 16 total 1Gbps Ethernet ports: eight EtherCon locking connectors split between four on the front panel and four on the rear, plus eight standard RJ45 connectors on the rear panel. The locking EtherCon ports are designed for touring environments where cable security and connector durability under repeated connection cycles are critical. All ports operate at 1Gbps, providing sufficient bandwidth for high-density Art-Net, sACN, Dante, AVB, and other AV-over-IP protocols running simultaneously on the same network.
Designed as the Backbone of a Converged Production Network
The GigaCore 16t supports the most demanding AV network protocols out of the box and is designed to serve as the central backbone switch in a converged production network, allowing lighting, audio, and video systems to share network infrastructure without interference. This reduces the number of separate networks and switches required on a production, simplifying system design and reducing cable and equipment overhead.
Powered via a single True1 in/out connection at up to 510W maximum draw, it integrates cleanly into standard touring power distribution with auto-ranging 100-240VAC input.
