grandMA3 NPU XL: Network Processing Unit for grandMA3 Parameter Expansion
When the grandMA3 Light or Full Size needs more universe capacity, the NPU XL is how you get there. A 2RU rack unit running up to 16,384 parameters in Mode 1 or 4,096 parameters in Mode 2 for expanding existing grandMA2 systems. Frame-synchronous calculation in the MA-Net3 environment keeps everything locked across the network. Eight direct DMX outputs for frame-synchronous DMX distribution throughout the rig. For even larger systems, combine multiple NPU XLs and use grandMA3 xPort Nodes to distribute and output frame-synchronous DMX data to the network.
All grandMA3 processing units are 2RU for efficient rack mounting and standard touring road case compatibility. The integrated touchscreen provides system overview and access to all functions, so maintenance and monitoring can happen from the unit itself when it’s in a dedicated rack position.
