GLP JDC1: Hybrid LED Strobe, Blinder, and Pixel Wash
The JDC1 is the fixture that shows up on the rider of a serious touring production and stays there for years. GLP built it around two independent light sources: a cold-white CREE XP-L LED strobe tube in the center and a surrounding full face of 1,320 Osram RGB LEDs, each independently controllable, each capable of running as strobe, blinder, wash, or pixel-mapped content simultaneously or separately. It does not have a thermal cutout on continuous operation. You can run it at full output for as long as the show runs.
The 185-degree motorized tilt with 16-bit resolution means it moves with the precision of a moving head, not a fixed panel. Position feedback keeps cues repeatable across a rig of multiples. An Aggressive Mode on the strobe tube pushes output even further when you need the room to feel it physically.
Two Sources, 24 Pixel Zones
The RGB face divides into 12 independently controllable plate sections. The white strobe tube divides into 12 sections as well. All 24 zones are fully pixel-mappable through any standard controller. Run them together for a combined strobe and color hit, or split them for layered looks that a single-source fixture simply cannot produce.
Control
Compressed, HighRes, and Pixel-Mapping control modes. DMX-512, RDM, Art-Net, and iQMesh protocol support. Illuminated graphic LCD with battery operation for addressing and setup without powering the full system. XLR-5 signal in/out, True1 power in.
Power and Size
1,200W at 230V. 100-240V auto-ranging. 11.6 kg (25.6 lbs) without bracket. Small enough to pack tight on a truss, powerful enough to justify the weight.
