Elation SŌL I Blinder: IP65 RGBLAW Modular LED Blinder with Variable CCT
Somebody at Elation decided to call this thing a blinder. It’s a 250W RGBLAW par with delusions of grandeur, and we’re not mad about it. It puts out 9,128 lumens through a 46 degree beam, comes IP65 rated for outdoor rigs, and is modular enough to run as a single cell, a 2-cell, a 4-cell, or link into a full array with the interconnects and yoke accessories that ship in the box.
The standout is the color engine itself. RGBLAW with 93+ CRI gives it high-fidelity whites most RGB blinders can’t touch, and a fully variable 16-bit CCT range from 1800K to 8500K means it can fake the warm glow of an old incandescent blinder or run cool daylight, all from the same fixture. CMY emulation and a virtual gel swatch book put familiar color tools right on the panel.
Color and Output
250W RGBLAW LED array with 93+ CRI, 9,128 total lumens measured on an integrating sphere. 46 degree beam angle with the compound lens, 52 degree with no lens on. Variable strobe rate from 1 to 20Hz, dim-to-warm and red shift emulation, and a choice between high output blinder mode or constant output mode for long cue runs.
Control and Connectivity
12 DMX channel modes ranging from 1 channel up to 21, plus RDM and Elation’s Aria x2 wireless device management for setup without running data to every unit. A simple Array Mode addressing system speeds up patching when several are linked together. Data and power both run through 5-pin DMX and IP65 True1 locking power connectors in and out.
Size and Rigging
Compact at 7.28 inches long and 4.48 inches square, 5.5 lbs for the fixture alone or 9.25 lbs with the included yoke and floor stand. Fixture interconnects, threaded adapters, and mount accessories let you build linear arrays, pendants, or custom shapes rather than sticking to a fixed housing.
Power
285W max draw on 100-240V, 50/60Hz. Power-thru capacity supports 3 units per run at 115V or 6 units at 240V, so a string of these doesn’t need a home run to every fixture.
