Elation E-FLY: Wireless DMX Transceiver for Cable-Free DMX Control
The Elation E-FLY is the reason you don’t have to run a DMX cable to that fixture in the middle of the room with no good path for wire. Transmitter and receiver in one unit, rechargeable battery, 2,500 feet of wireless range open line of sight, and auto-pairing. Clip it to a console, drop it on a fixture, and the DMX gets there without you having to explain to the venue why there’s a cable running across the ceiling.
It supports up to 15 DMX-512 universes across 15 radio channels, with one DMX universe per channel. The 2.4GHz ISM frequency coexists with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi in busy RF environments without drama. Battery life runs 20 to 25 hours from a 4-hour charge, with a battery and signal strength indicator so you’re not guessing at runtime mid-show.
Connectivity and Control
3-pin and 5-pin DMX in/out, 12VDC power supply input for wired operation when battery isn’t needed. Battery switch and power save button round out the controls. At 1.3 lbs it disappears on a fixture.
Works With Your Existing Elation Rig
Several fixtures in R90’s inventory have E-FLY receivers built in, including the Elation Paladin Panel and Elation Artiste Picasso both use the E-FLY system for wireless DMX without any additional hardware on the fixture end. The standalone E-FLY transceiver covers the transmitter side of that equation.
