Elation DP-640B: 6-Channel 4800W Portable DMX Dimmer and Switch Pack for Stage Lighting
The Elation DP-640B is a hybrid 6-channel portable dimmer and switch pack delivering up to 2,400W per channel and 4,800W maximum total output from a compact die-cast aluminum chassis. Designed for professional stage lighting applications, it gives lighting designers individual per-channel control over dimming and switching from a single unit that truss or clamp mounts directly to the lighting position.
Per-Channel Dimmer and Switch Control
Each of the six channels can be independently set to dim or switch mode, and each carries a unique DMX address for full individual control from any DMX console via 3-pin/5-pin XLR input and output. Two 3-prong Edison sockets per channel provide 12 total output connections across the unit, with 2,400W maximum power consumption per circuit split across channels 1 through 3 and channels 4 through 6.
Panic Function and On-Board Local Control
The PANIC function uses the six DIP switch settings to hold selected channels on continuously, providing a reliable manual override during live shows where a DMX signal loss would otherwise kill stage lighting. On-board local control with 0 to 100 percent dimming intensity adjustment and a digital LED control menu display allow full standalone operation without a console. A hanging bracket is included for truss and clamp installation.
At 7.5 lbs. with dual 20-amp 120V power inputs via NEMA 5-20P connectors, the DP-640B is practical for distributed dimming setups across touring, theatrical, and corporate event applications.
