Chauvet Ovation F-415VW: A Fresnel With a Six-Color Engine and a Zoom Range That Earns Its Keep

The Chauvet Ovation F-415VW is a variable white Fresnel built around a 46-LED, 6-color array covering red, green, blue, royal blue, orange, and lime. That combination pushes color temperature range from 2800 to 8000K with CRI 89 to 93, giving your gaffer or LD a single fixture that covers warm tungsten, daylight, and everything in between without swapping units or gels. For theatre, television, and corporate work where white light quality is the whole job, that range matters.

Zoom That Actually Zooms

Motorized zoom from 14 to 68 degrees means the F-415VW adapts to throw distance and coverage area from the console rather than from a ladder. Color temperature, hue, zoom, and output are all console or onboard dial controllable, so once it’s in the air it stays there.

Broadcast Ready

Selectable PWM up to 25,000 Hz keeps the fixture clean at any camera frame rate. The existing description notes 28V external battery operation is also supported, useful for locations where mains power isn’t available. Eight personalities covering 2 through 19 channels, DMX and RDM support, standalone color mixing, and color temperature presets. PowerCon in/out for power daisy-chaining, 5-pin XLR for data.
