Astera AX1 PixelTube: 16-Pixel RGBW Baton That Goes Anywhere Power Can’t
The Astera AX1 PixelTube is a 1.6-foot battery-powered RGBW pixel tube built for the placements that corded fixtures can’t reach. Sixteen individually addressable pixels across a 180-degree beam angle, IP65 rated, 20 hours of battery runtime, and CRMX wireless DMX control at up to 300 meters. Mount it, lean it, hang it, or hand it to a performer. It doesn’t care.
Pixel Control and Wireless
Sixteen RGBW pixels at 28W total with 950 lumens and CRI up to 88 give you enough output and resolution for creative pixel mapping at close range, set lighting, and accent work. CRMX is the recommended wireless protocol. Note that wired DMX is not supported on the AX1, and W-DMX G5 and City Theatrical protocols are not compatible. For multi-fixture wireless DMX deployments, pair with the ART7 AsteraBox, R90’s CRMX wireless DMX transmitter for Astera fixtures.
Practical Rental Details
Battery runtime rated up to 20 hours with a 7-hour nominal charge time. Battery lifetime rated at 70% capacity after 300 cycles. Polycarbonate housing with metal end cap.
