ADJ Aria X2 Transceiver: Wireless DMX and Lighting Management for Professional Productions
The ADJ Aria X2 Transceiver is a single-universe wireless DMX transceiver and lighting management node designed for professional lighting designers and production companies who need reliable, flexible wireless control on show site or in the shop. Operating on 2.4GHz WiFi with Bluetooth 5.2, it bridges DMX and wireless control with a compact, road-ready IP20 aluminium enclosure weighing just 2.7 lbs.
Wireless DMX with Multiple Protocol Support
The Aria X2 supports DMX, the proprietary Aria X2 Mesh Protocol for networked multi-unit deployments, and the Aria X2 Serial Protocol for communicating with a broad range of fixtures. RDM support is planned for a future software release, extending its compatibility further as the platform develops. Frequency hopping and CSMA interference mitigation keep the wireless link stable in RF-congested environments, and OTA firmware updates ensure the unit stays current without requiring physical access.
Flexible Configuration and Control
Configuration is handled via the Aria X2 BLE app, the front panel digital screen, or rotary knob, giving operators multiple options for setup depending on the environment. The unit converts bidirectionally between DMX, wireless, and back, making it practical as either a transmitter or receiver depending on system requirements. Running a battery-powered wireless rig? The Aria X2 is the recommended transmitter for ADJ’s Mirage Q6 Pak IP, a set of six IP65 battery-powered RGBA wash fixtures with built-in WIFY EXR receivers available as a separate rental. Connections include a 5-pin XLR DMX input and output, IP65-locking power input and output, and a DC 2.5mm barrel connector for power flexibility.
Built for Touring and Installation
The aluminum and metal enclosure includes M10 and M12 threads, a safety eyelet, and compatibility with rack and wall mount accessories, covering both touring and permanent installation use cases. At 2W power consumption the Aria X2 runs efficiently across long events, and a maximum ambient operating temperature of 113°F makes it suitable for demanding outdoor environments.
